Culture of Delhi

Delhi is also a shoppers paradise. From the cheap and budget oriented road side and pavement shops to the high end designer shops at the malls, you are never out of choice. The Connaught Place bustling with shops and restaurants and the Pailka Bazaar nearby are great if you a re looking for budget ware, whereas The Emporio Delhi is for those who are willing to empty the wallets a bit. But one must visit place is the Dilli Haat with crafts men and women from all over India showcasing their work. From clothes to handicrafts to food to wares, you can more or less get anything for your taste here. Its all of India under one roof and a mighty pleaser for all tourists, especially if you want to take back a souvenir for a loved one.

Dining out in Delhi is one of the most fun part of being in this metropolitan city. The road side paan and chaat wala's serve the most yummiest array you can dream of, but beware, if you are not used to eating roadside spicy food, it could take a toll on your stomach. On the other hand, if its a fancier place you please, then Delhi has loads to offer on that front too. High end themed restaurants are in plenty- Italian, Thai, Mexican, Mediterranean etc.- but it is advisable to book ahead on holidays and weekends. The younger crowd can of course have the time of their life on the dance floor or in swanky pubs and bars which are also popping up in every nook and corner of Delhi.

Now if all this doesn't please you, then you have an array of cultural centres, art galleries, museums and theatre shows you can head to. Delhi sure has something or the other to offer, whether old or young, modern or traditional. Head to this capital city and give yourself a good time.
